Scent Profile: Top Notes of Leather, Teakwood and Amyris settle into middle notes of Smoke, Honey and Musk, that give way to self-effacing base notes of Sandalwood, Oud, Patchouli, and Tobacco.
The Inspiration: I love books, libraries, book stores, discount book stores, gift shops that sell books, you get the idea. In college I would sometimes need to locate an old reference book out of the main circulation, in a place everyone called “the stacks”. It was one of those hybrid buildings, new and bright and easy to navigate in the main circulation area on the bottom 2 floors, and an old section where the “out of circulation” stacks were. It was a rabbit warren of a building with 18 narrow floors, infrequent alcoves with a small desk and chair, poorly lit, and just brimming with musty smelling books. Who writes all these books? And are they sad to know their books are in the “out of circulation” section of the library? Maybe. Finding the intended book involved a bit of map and compass skills, it was always an adventure.
This library scent is a fanciful notion of a library. One that might have existed as part of an expansive Great Camp along the shores of an Adirondack lake, with honey-toned oak paneling, leather divans and club chairs clustered around small tables and soft lamp light. There would be knitted Afghans to snuggle into, and a cozy fire burning in the oversized fireplace. Sounds nice, doesn’t it?
This candle is made with coconut apricot blended wax.

FRAGRANCE - Across our product lines, our premium fragrance oils are:

WAXES - Our pillar wax is 100 percent soy wax made from soybean oil grown in the USA. We add UV inhibitor to prevent candles from fading due to ultraviolet light exposure.
WICKS - We use cotton wicks with a paper core specifically designed for the waxes used in our candle lines. Wicks are dipped in a natural wax by the manufacturer for stabilization.

Our standard pillar is 3 inches in diameter and is available in three heights:
- 3 inches wide x 3.5 inches tall, weighs about 12.5 ounces (350 g)
- 3 inches wide x 4.5 inches tall, weighs about 15.75 ounces (450 g)
- 3 inches wide x 6.5 inches tall, weighs about 22.75 ounces (650 g)

For Standard Pillar Candles (3-inch diameter columns):
- Trim wick to 1/8 - 1/4 inch each time before lighting
- Burn the candle for 3-4 hours during the first burn
- For best results, burn candle no more than 4 hours each session
- Avoid placing your candle near drafts
- Place pillar on a stable heat proof candle plate and remove nearby flammable materials before lighting your candle
- Never leave the pillar candle unattended
- Keep children and pets away from open flames
- Keep the candle at least 4 inches from other candles
For Dimensional Pillar Candles:
- Trim wick to 1/8 - 1/4 inch each time before lighting
- Avoid placing your candle near drafts
- Place pillar on a stable heat proof candle plate and remove nearby flammable materials before lighting your pillar candle
- Note that dimensional pillars are decorative in nature and are not likely to burn as long as a standard pillar or candle jar of similar weight. They WILL drip,
