Scent Profile: Heady sweet top notes of Tobacco, Amaretto and Honey mingle with dry Cedar, Oakmoss and Camphor middle notes, while Vanilla, Oak and Benzoin base notes soften the overall effect.
The Inspiration: Do you have memories of an uncle, dad or grandfather who smoked? And do you always think of this person when you smell the sweet scent of cherry pipe tobacco? Me too. My grandfather was a lifelong smoker - sometimes cigars or pipes, but mostly cigarettes. I didn’t care for most of it, but the unlit cherry pipe tobacco was something I liked. He was nearly deaf and didn’t talk a lot. He would sit quietly near a window and smoke. I remember being fascinated by the lazy movement of smoke rising, the light shining through the ribbons of smoky air with a diaphanous effect. He would smoke and watch TV shows with his hearing aid volume set at zero. When anyone would try to get his attention, he would just utter a confused, “heh?” and point at his ears to indicate he couldn’t hear you. Persistence was necessary to engage him in conversation. But he did care deeply for my grandmother and would tune in for her. In my memory, I can still see my grandfather wearing his flat cap perched at a jaunty angle and sitting behind the wheel of his Buick, ready to take my grandmother to work, or to church, or wherever she needed to go.
Flat Cap & Pipe offers an air of nostalgia with its mingled scent of sweet tobacco, dry cedar, and a hint of vanilla. The 9.5oz candle is made using using coconut apricot wax, and teh 3.7oz travel tin is made with natural US grown soy wax. The hot throw is subtle but will still fill an appropriately sized room for the candle (i.e., a 9.5oz candle in a medium room; a 3.7oz candle in a small sized room).

FRAGRANCE - Across our product lines, our premium fragrance oils are:
- Phthalate-free
- Carcinogen-free

- Used in proportions that comply with standards established by the International Fragrance Association
WAXES - Our pillar wax is 100 percent soy wax made from soybean oil grown in the USA. We add UV inhibitor to prevent candles from fading due to ultraviolet light exposure.
WICKS - We use cotton wicks with a paper core specifically designed for the waxes used in our candle lines. Wicks are dipped in a natural wax by the manufacturer for stabilization.

Our standard pillar is 3 inches in diameter and is available in three heights:
- 3 inches wide x 3.5 inches tall, weighs about 12.5 ounces (350 g)
- 3 inches wide x 4.5 inches tall, weighs about 15.75 ounces (450 g)
- 3 inches wide x 6.5 inches tall, weighs about 22.75 ounces (650 g)

For Standard Pillar Candles (3-inch diameter columns):
- Trim wick to 1/8 - 1/4 inch each time before lighting
- Burn the candle for 3-4 hours during the first burn
- For best results, burn candle no more than 4 hours each session
- Avoid placing your candle near drafts
- Place pillar on a stable heat proof candle plate and remove nearby flammable materials before lighting your candle
- Never leave the pillar candle unattended
- Keep children and pets away from open flames
- Keep the candle at least 4 inches from other candles
For Dimensional Pillar Candles:
- Trim wick to 1/8 - 1/4 inch each time before lighting
- Avoid placing your candle near drafts
- Place pillar on a stable heat proof candle plate and remove nearby flammable materials before lighting your pillar candle
- Note that dimensional pillars are decorative in nature and are not likely to burn as long as a standard pillar or candle jar of similar weight. They WILL drip,
