Champagne, Anyone?
Champagne, Anyone?
Scent Profile: Vibrant top notes of Yuzu paired with fruity Melon and Pear open to bubbly middle notes of your favorite Sparkling Wine with hints of Freesia and Brioche. Soft base notes of Vanilla, Patchouli, and musky Gardenia complete this effervescent delight.
The Inspiration: Do you have a favorite food or beverage? Mine is sparkling wine, especially Champagne. I started off with affordable Proseccos and California Sparklers, but my love for the bubbles narrowed to brioche-forward tastes after spending time in Champagne, France. I discovered that I really enjoyed the bready and mineral notes of European wines more than the fruit-forwardness of many sparklers produced in the US. Ah, the snobbery begins. During our short stay in Champagne, we booked several tastings and wine house tours and sampled many different wines ranging from the sweetest to the driest and everything in between. Everywhere we stopped, we bought a few bottles. Before we knew it, we had more than we could possibly bring home - so of course, we bought more luggage! My daughter, who joined us later in the trip, jokes that we only brought her along to be our Champagne mule. She might be right (wink).
Champagne and its sparkling relatives do not need to be reserved for special occasions - anytime becomes a special occasion when you open a bottle of bubbly. Champagne, Anyone?
